Leah Black, MSW, LCSW
After starting her career in the pacific northwest over fifteen years ago, Leah Black spent four years serving Alpine and the surrounding communities in Star Valley, before expanding to Jackson, WY in 2014. With years of experience and a commitment to staying on top of developments in the field, she specializes in helping people get from where they are, to where they want to be.
Leah Black typically operates from a cognitive behavioral perspective, but rather than being bound by any particular therapy or perspective, she assesses each individual to determine what interventions will best meet his or her needs. With advanced training in a number of therapies that are supported by research, she has vast experience to draw on to help you overcome whatever struggles you are having and to help you move forward in life.
Leah Black particularly enjoys helping people who are working on overcoming problems in their relationships, dealing with overwhelming emotions, struggling with parenting issues, or battling substance abuse. Most of her clients have found that therapy has helped them to lead more fulfilling lives and overcome many of their difficulties. Finding the right fit between therapist and client is very important, so please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have before choosing Jackson Hole Mental Health.
